Current Picador Professor Josh Weil was recently interviewed by the Leipziger Volkszeitung about his past few months in Germany. Among other topics, he talks about his impressions of living in Leipzig and Saxony, his literary interest in Russia, current politics, and his teaching experiences at ASL. Over the past several years, 25 authors have come to Leipzig as Picador Guest Professors for Literature, teaching creative writing at the Institute for American Studies and engaging in a dialogue on US literature with the wider public.
American Studies Leipzig is proud to announce Josh Weil as our next Picador Guest Professor for Literature. He will hold the professorship in the summer term of 2019.
