ASL's Gesine Wegner Receives Publication Award for Excellence in Comic Studies

American Studies Leipzig is proud to announce that Gesine Wegner, doctoral fellow at ASL, is the recipient of the 2020 Martin-Schüwer Publication Award for Excellence in Comic Studies. The Martin-Schüwer Prize is presented annually by the Society for Comics Studies (ComFor) and the Committee for Comic Studies (AG Comicforschung) of the German Society of Media Studies (GfM).

ASL Student Mascha Lange Earns Pre-Doc Award to Pursue Doctoral Project

American Studies Leipzig is proud and happy to announce that Mascha Lange and Dr. Stefan Schubert have been granted one of Leipzig University's Pre-Doc Awards. The award will allow Mascha Lange to bridge the gap between the phase of having finished her academic degree and trying to secure long-term funding for a doctoral project. ASL's Sebastian Herrmann Receives Theodor Litt Award for Teaching

American Studies Leipzig is proud to announce that Dr. Sebastian Herrmann has received the 2016 Theodor Litt Preis für Engagement in der Lehre. The price is awarded by the Vereinigung von Förderern und Freunden der Universität Leipzig, based on recommendations by the student council.

ASL's Sebastian M. Herrmann Awarded Christoph-Daniel-Ebeling Fellowship

American Studies Leipzig's Sebastian M. Herrmann was awarded the 2015 Christoph-Daniel-Ebeling Fellowship, a stipend jointly offered by the German Association for American Studies and the American Antiquarian Society.
