Picador Professor Alexander Chee's Reading at the Leipzig Book Fair.

If you missed Picador Professor Alexander Chee's reading at the Skala in the fall or want to hear him do another reading, here is your chance: Prof. Chee will read from his upcoming book "Queen of the Night" at the Leipzig Book Fair tomorrow from 11:15 to 12:15 in Halle 4, Forum International, Stand C504.

Picador Reading with Alexander Chee

On November 14, 2012, current Picador Guest Professor Alexander Chee gave a reading at the Skala in Leipzig. About 70 people attended the event at which Professor Chee read several passages from his novel The Queen of Night (forthcoming with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt).

Spots Still Available for Picador Classes

There are still spots available for both seminars taught by Prof. Alexander Chee in the upcoming semester. This may be of particular interest to those students planning to take the LC-III module in the future as Prof. Chee's class on graphic novels can count towards this module.

Picador Reading with Fiona Maazel on May 15

On May 15, 2012, the current Picador Professor Fiona Maazel read from her new novel Woke Up Lonely at the Centraltheater Leipzig. The novel will be published in the spring of 2013 by Graywolf Press and is, as Maazel writes on her website, "about a cult leader, his ex-wife, and the four people he takes hostage. It's about loneliness. North Korea. A city under the city of Cincinnati. Labial reconstruction. Cloud seeding.

Fiona Maazel was born in Cleveland in 1975. She received a Master of Arts from William College in 1997 and a Master of Fine Arts from Bennington College in 2002.
