Both of Hilary Leichter’s classes will take place in room 3515 (GWZ, Beethovenstr. 15, “Glaskasten”). You can find the room by going up to the fifth floor and walking down the hallway across the elevators, left of the letter boxes.

As a part of the Muhlenberg Lectures Series at Halle University, Jonathan Culler from Cornell University will be discussing the project of his 2015 book “Theory of the Lyric” and his views on theorizing the lyric in English and German.

New Publication: Edited Collection “Beyond Narrative” (Open Access)

ASL is happy to announce that Beyond Narrative: Exploring Narrative Liminality and Its Cultural Work has just been released as an open-access publication with transcript. It is the culmination of the work that took place from 2017 to 2021 as part of the DFG-funded network “Narrative Liminality and/in the Formation of American Modernities,” which was organized by ASL’s Sebastian M.
