aspeers has just published its new calls for papers. Embedded into the American Studies Leipzig MA program, aspeers is the first and currently only peer-reviewed print journal for MA-level scholars of American studies in Europe.

On 19 June 2015, 2 p.m., American Studies Leipzig will celebrate the release of the eighth issue of aspeers: emerging voices in american studies, Europe’s first and currently only peer-reviewed graduate journal in American studies. The publication project is part of American Studies Leipzig’s MA program. Over the course of the last semester, an editing team of ten MA students has worked to select contributions, revise them together with the authors, edit them, and make them ready for publication.

ASL celebrates Seventh Issue of aspeers

On April 30, 2014, American Studies Leipzig celebrated the release of the seventh issue of aspeers: emerging voices in american studies. aspeers, the first and currently only graduate-level peer-reviewed journal of European American studies, encouraged fellow MA students from all fields to reflect on the diverse roles and meanings of anxieties in American culture.

American Studies Leipzig is proud to announce the release of this year’s issue of aspeers, Europe’s first and currently only graduate-level print journal for American studies, which is edited and published as part of ASL’s MA program. The sixth issue of aspeers features a topical section on “American Memories,” containing both academic contributions and original artwork, as well as an open academic section and an interview with Professor Monica Michlin from Paris-Sorbonne University.

ASL Celebrates Sixth Issue of aspeers: emerging voices in american studies

On April 24, 2013, American Studies Leipzig celebrated the release of the sixth issue of aspeers: emerging voices in american studies. The new issue is dedicated to “American Memories,” featuring four academic articles, seven pieces of art, and an interview with Monica Michelin from the Sorbonne. The published contributions came from six different countries (USA, France, Germany, the UK, Canada and Poland), but submissions were sent in from many more countries.

ASL celebrates fith issue of aspeers

On 18 April 2012, American Studies Leipzig celebrated the release of the fifth issue of aspeers: emerging voices in american studies, Europe’s first and currently only peer-reviewed graduate journal in American studies. In her welcoming words, Prof. Anne Koenen thanked Officer for Public Affairs, Teta M. Moehs for the continuing cooperation between American Studies Leipzig and the United States Consulate in Leipzig.
