On June 3, after the final primaries in Montana and South Dakota, Senator Barack Obama held a victory speech in St. Paul, the site of the upcoming Republican National Convention. Following Michelle Obama’s introduction, the presumtive Democratic nominee entered the stage exchanging a fist-bump with his wife. As a consequence of the two-second gesture, the blogosphere as well as the mainstream media obsessed about what to call it, what it means, and if it is black or not.
