The seminar offered by Professor Crister Garrett, “The Notion of Postmodern Politics in a Transatlantic Context” (that is part of the Module ‘Political Cultures in a Transatlantic Context’, on Tuesday, 11:15-12:45, will meet in Seminar Room 512 Am Brühl.
The lists of students accepted into American Studies Leipzig BA modules for their Wahlbereich is available for download as of now.
Students who find their Matrikel-No. on this list need to confirm their registration at the American Studies Institute on 3 April, 8am - 5pm. Please bring along your student id, documentation of the required English skills (you need to give evidence of at least 8 years of instruction, e.g. by your high school diploma, language certificates, etc.), and of completed prerequisites (if applicable).
On Wednesday, 5 March, there will take place a one-day workshop on American society during the presidential election year of 2008. Students are welcome to attend. Details about the workshop can be found by clicking here.
In its February 6th issue, the Leipziger Volkszeitung covered Leipzig’s annual Super Bowl party at Leo’s Brasserie. ASL faculty member Catherine Sharpe attended the event.
