as|peers is a print and digital journal produced and edited by MA-level students at American Studies Leipzig. In addition to showing the scholarly work produced by students from all over Europe, the journal frequently features art by young artists.

Please join us for Picador Professor Don Mee Choi’s reading, “War, Resistance, Poetry,” on Wednesday, December 1 at 7pm! Don Mee Choi will read from her books Hardly War and DMZ Colony. The reading will be followed by a conversation with scholar and podcaster Sung Un Gang on writing, translating, and her time as a Picador Guest Professor. The event will be held in English and streamed on YouTube (please click here). The event is free and open to the public.

She said is a bookstore for queer and female authors in Berlin. They are looking for two interns next year, even if you have no experience in bookselling. So, if you always choose all the literature modules at ASL and know your way around queer literature, feminist theory, poetry, and more, apply by December 10, 2021!
