New Seminar as Alternative in Module Transatlantic Space

For the module Transatlantic Space, there is now a new seminar that can be taken as an equivalency to the seminar being offered by Professors Garrett and Laga. The alternative seminar is being offered by Professor Keil and other colleagues from the Universität Leipzig. The seminar is entitled "Culture and Language: The Tradition of Transatlantic Migration and Slavery". Details are included in the attached announcement.


Follow the 2013 Study Tour to Houston Online!

On Thursday, a group of ASL students and Prof. Hartmut Keil will travel to Houston for a study tour titled "Immigration, Religion, and Citizenship." They will share their experiences on a blog under http://studytourhouston2013.wordpress.com/. The ASL students are joined by 4 students from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.


Fulbright Lecture Series 2012 comes to an end: Last lecture by ASL's Prof. Keil

The last Fulbright Lecture of the summer term 2012 was delivered by ASL's Professor Hartmut Keil who gave an insight into his current research and book project on Francis Lieber.
