Dr. Pawel Laidler, expert on the US Supreme Court and Assistant Director of the Institute for American Studies at Jagiellonian University (Krakow), will be visiting at ASL next week as part of the institute’s Erasmus partnership program.

Prof. Angela Miller's Guest Lecture on "The Changing Cultural Image of Nature"

This week, on July 3, 2012, ASL had the privilege and great pleasure to welcome Prof. Angela Miller from Washington University in St. Louis. In her talk entitled “Nature’s History: The Changing Cultural Image of Nature, from Romantic Nationalism to Land Art,” Miller gave a captivating historical overview and insight into landscape representation and visual constructions of nationhood to a group of interested students and faculty. Guest Lecture: Mars and the Evolution of Thought by Prof. Eric Rabkin

On June 29, Eric Rabkin, Professor of English at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, will hold an ASL guest lecture about “Mars and the Evolution of Thought.” The lecture will start at 7 pm and will take place at the New Seminar Building, Room S202.
