Im Rahmen der Veranstaltungsreihe MB Comic:Kunst lädt die Moritzbastei Leipzig am 30.06.22, ab 20 Uhr zur Comiclesung, Vernissage & Künstlerinnengespräch mit Birgit Weyhe über ihr Buch “RUDE GIRL” ein.
The Working Group “Machine Learning” at Leipzig University's Institute for Computer Science will screen the movie Pre-Crime and host a discussion with the movie's director, Matthias Heeder. The film discusses difficult questions of the future of policing in digital cultures and societies. Please note that the organizers are asking for prior registration. Lange Leipziger Lesenacht and HALLE 14 cordially invite you to their free event “Houston - We Have A Reading” at Baumwollspinnerei on October 30th. You can expect literary speed dating, cookies, music, poetry, readings, and a documentary with authors from the US and Germany. Our very own Picador Professor Sasha Pimentel will be there and many other fascinating authors, too.
On November 15, EducationUSA, a U.S. Department of State network of student advising centers, is holding an online seminar on internships in the United States. Taylored towards university students and young professionals, the Webinar will cover information on how to find and successfully apply for an internship, as well as getting the respective visa.
The event is free and you can conveniently participate from your home via Internet.
The Deutsches Literaturinstitut Leipzig, in cooperation with the journal Edit, will host the American author Leslie Jamison for a reading from her book The Empathy Exams on December 1, 7.30pm at the Haus des Buches (Gerichtsweg 28).
