Kim Scott is a descendant of people indigenous to the south-east coast of Western Australia, and is proud to be one among those who call themselves Noongar.  His second novel, Benang, won the 2000 Miles Franklin Award, the 1999 West Australian Premier?s Prize and the RAKA Kate Challis Award.  He has worked extensively in education and the arts, and is currently Associate Professor of Aboriginal Health and Education at Curtin University.  He lives in Coolbellup, Western Australia, with his wife and two sons.

Internship Workshop

The intership work is designed to prepare BA and MA students, who are interested in doing an internship as part of their studies. In the workshop students will learn how to find the right internship, how to apply for financial support, internships in the US, how to prepare for an internship and how to get credits for it. Additionally, the workshop will present internship partnership programs at ASL.
