Career Service Webinar "Praktika in den USA"

Students who are considering an internship in the U.S. might be interested in a webinar offered by the Career Service of Universität Leipzig. The webinar will provide information about the Placement USA Program of the internship agency Cultural Vistas. It will take place on Tuesday, October 28, at 6:00 p.m. at the Career Service, Burgstraße 21, room 1.19.

Dear students, please note that the Internship Support Office Hours with Ewa Adamkiewicz will be held today, June 26, 3 - 4 pm instead of the regular time slot.

Unique PR and Marketing Internship Opportunity

Former ASL Picador Professor and multiple award winning US author Shannon Cain is currently seeking a marketing and public relations intern for the book release of Roadside Curiosities: Stories about American Pop Culture. This anthology, which started as a project in a Picador class here at ASL, collects twenty short stories by celebrated US authors about US popular culture and modern life.

Dear students, please note, that the Young Transatlantic Initiative (YTI) and the International Association for Political Science Students (IAPSS) are hosting a Political Science Study Trip to the United States, focussing on "The State of the Transatlantic Union."


Career Center: Working in international organizations

Students who are interested in working in an international organization or the EU, and would like to learn more about how to get started with their international careers might be interested in the current newsletter of the Career Center. The newsletter includes links to helpful websites and other sources, event dates for february, as well as an interview with Claudia Rhode from the Federal Foreign Office (Auswärtiges Amt).
