Frank Freidel Resident Dr. Paula Lee arrives in Leipzig

Dr. Paula Lee, the second participant in the Frank Freidel Scholar in Residence Program, has arrived in Leipzig. She will stay in Leipzig for six weeks to work on her current project “Finding Animals: Toward a Comparative History and Theory of Animals.”

During her stay, American Studies scholars in Germany will have the opportunity to see one of her three lectures. The lectures are held in Leipzig, on June 10, and in Dresden and Kiel, on June 16 and July 1, respectively. Dr. Lee will also discuss her work with a group of advanced American Studies students in the context of a graduate seminar here in Leipzig.
