Professor Charles Johanningsmeier from the University of Nebraska-Omaha has been awarded the Fulbright-Leipzig Chair for American Studies for the 2006-2007 academic year. The Institute for American Studies is honored and delighted to have such a distinguished scholar as Professor Johanningsmeier to enrich teaching, research, and program activities during the upcoming year. Here you will find a short biographical and academic sketch that Professor Johanningsmeier has prepared to present himself to his American Studies and University colleagues.
