Two ASL Faculty Members Receive Fulbright Grants

The Fulbright commission has granted scholarships to two American Studies Leipzig faculty members for the 2007 American Studies Summer Institute in San Francisco. In a nationwide competition among German universities, the commission chose 14 doctorate students and post-doctorate scholars to participate in a two-week training seminar centered on “American values.” Fulbright is a renowned and highly prestigious program aimed at advancing academic contacts and exchange between the United States and Germany. American Studies Leipzig is proud that Sebastian M. Herrmann and Frank Usbeck will represent the program in San Francisco.
