ASL Joins Deutschlandfunk National Call-In Show

American Studies, Leipzig. 16 November 2006.

American Studies Leipzig was invited by Deutschlandfunk to join its national call-in show Kontroverse for a discussion on the Congressional Elections 2006 and what they portend for the country’s politics at home and abroad. On Monday, 13 November, from 10:00-11:30, Crister Garrett joined Deutschlandfunk correspondent Klaus Remme, the Green Party member of the European Parliament, Cem Özdemir, and the CDU member of the Bundestag and Chair of the Foreign Policy Working Group, Eckart von Klaeden, for an open and often pointed conversation about currents in American politics. Callers from around the country raised questions about money and politics in America, about possible impeachment proceedings, and what might change in the environmental politics of the United States.
