Chuck Klosterman Reading [Photos and Video]

On July 17, Chuck Klosterman read from Killing Yourself to Live: 85% of a True Story at the Galerie Pierogi, Leipzig, Germany. The reading was the last public event by Chuck Klosterman, after he had stayed in Leipzig as Picador Guest Professor for Literature at the American Studies Department.

The Picador Guest Professorship for Literature, a joint project by the University of Leipzig, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Veranstaltungsforum der Verlagsgruppe Georg von Holtzbrinck, brings leading young writers of English language literature to Leipzig and Mitteldeutschland, thereby providing students with a chance to work with ‘practitioners’ of literature. More on the project can be found at americanstudies.uni-leipzig.de/picador

The reading was attended by approximately 120 people, both from the University and from other communities. Below, you will find the Chuck’s reading. A playlist containing clips of the German translation (read by Aleksandar Radenkovic) and part of the discussion with the audience following the reading is available on youtube.
