After having received my degrees (BA and MA) in American Studies and Cultural Studies at Leipzig University, I have started my position as a research associate and PhD candidate at American Studies Leipzig in 2020. My teaching and research is located in the fields of American literary and cultural studies with a special focus on post-45 American literature and culture. Additionally, I regularly teach in a practical skills module ("iCAN") in our MA program. Some of my main service roles are study advising and coordinating the Picador Guest Professorship for Literature. Next to these, I am part of the moderator team of Thomasius-Club, a monthly event to foster science communication.

My research is mainly located in the field of 20th century American literature with a focus on the post-45 novel, which is also the field in which my dissertation is situated. Next to the the post-45 novel, my research interests are the history and theory of the novel, contemporary literary theory, gender and queer studies as well as Jewish American writing and comedic writing.

My teaching is situated in the fields of 20th and 21st century American literature and culture where I have taught a variety of seminars in the BA program. Additionally, I teach the introduction to literary and cultural studies seminar. In the MA program, I co-teach a practical skills module called iCAN.
