Please join us for a roundtable discussion on the eu and the United States in a transatlantic perspective with international relations expert, Professor Edward A. Fogarty.

In his talk Prof. Fogarty will investigate the concept of an “international polity“. Describing both the USA and the EU as examples of international polities, he will discuss diverences as well as similarities across the atlantic and illustrate prospects of global cooperation.

Prof. Fogarty received his Phd at the University of California at Berkeley in 2007. He has published numerous articles as well as three books on the eu and globalization. His latest work, “Projecting Polities: States, Nonstate Actors, and Global Governance” (Routledge), was published in 2013. Prof. Fogarty‘s research covers international political economy, globalization, international institutions/global governance, nonstate actors, and the European Union, among others.
