ASLAA Workshop: Effective Time Management

Tue, 01/10/2017 - 18:00 to 20:00

One of the biggest obstacles in your studies is the effective management of your time and resources? After leaving high school, where most of your tasks and time were prescheduled for you by your teachers, you struggle with adapting to the liberties that come with studying at a university?

Fortunately, time management is a skill everyone can acquire and is not a talent you are born with. Our third workshop is thus designed to introduce you to a variety of different strategies, methods and approaches to successful time management.

The workshop will be held by Annika Schadewaldt (Treasurer ASLAA). She will introduce you to several ways of organizing your work effectively so that you, in the end, can discover an approach that works best for you. In addition, we will discuss the usual suspects of poor time management: Ineffective goal setting, procrastination, lack of organization, etc. Finally, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss your individual strategies and/or problems with your fellow workshop attendees.

The workshop will take place on Tuesday, January 10 from 6 - 8 pm at the Geisteswissenschaftliches Zentrum (GWZ) in room 2.516. We invite all students currently enrolled in the BA or MA program of American Studies. The event is free. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
