ASLAA Professional Roundtable: PhD Programs

Are you currently thinking about applying for PhD programs? Or applying for scholarships to complete your dissertation? Or completing a PhD parallel to your job? There are so many aspects to think about when deciding for an academic career or using a PhD for your professional development.

We will talk about these topics at our next Professional Roundtable on May 16 to give you some insights and orientation.

Our guests will be:

Christina Harms, PhD Candidate at the Institute for American Studies, University of Leipzig
Sina Meißgeier, Freelance Journalist and PhD Candidate enrolled in the Leipzig-Arizona Program, University of Leipzig
Sören Schoppmeier, PhD Candidate at the John F. Kennedy Institute, Free University of Berlin
Stefan Schubert, Assistant Lecturer for American Studies and PhD Candidate, University of Leipzig

The Professional Roundtable will take place on Tuesday, May 16 from 7—9 pm in room 3.515 at the Geisteswissenschaftliches Zentrum (GWZ).

We invite all students currently enrolled in the BA or MA program of American Studies as well as students from other institutes.

The event is free and snacks and refreshments will be provided.
