aspeers just published its new calls for papers. Embedded into the American Studies Leipzig MA program, aspeers is the first and currently only peer-reviewed print journal for MA-level scholars of American studies in Europe.
American Studies Leipzig is delighted to announce that Olaf Stieglitz has assumed the position of Professor for American Cultural History at the institute. During the past five semesters, he had already been teaching as a visiting professor, but starting this July, he will be permanently teaching and researching at Leipzig University as the successor to Prof. Crister S. Garrett.
aspeers, the first and currently only peer-reviewed print journal for MA-level scholars of American studies in Europe, has just published its latest issue. Now in its fourteenth year, aspeers is edited as part of ASL’s MA program and aims to showcase the excellent scholarship done in American studies already on the graduate level.
At the moment, we do not yet know how exactly the upcoming summer semester will take place (digitally, in-person, ‘hybrid,’ etc.). We will provide you with updates on our website as soon as we know more, so please keep checking back.
We wanted to update you on the 2nd-year BA modules we will be offering in the upcoming summer term. As we are working to consolidate the program and its teaching load, starting with this semester, we will not be offering the module The Anglo-American World in a Global Context anymore but will instead increase the thematic variety in other modules.
