The lists of students accepted into American Studies Leipzig BA modules for their Wahlbereich is available for download as of now.
Students who find their Matrikel-No. on these lists need to confirm their registration at the American Studies Institute (room 3 5.06) on Thursday, April 2, from 1 to 5pm, and on Friday, April 3, from 9am to 4 pm.
American Studies Leipzig cordially invites you to join a talk by Katja Kanzler entitled “Ethik und Erzählkunst: Zur Figur des Anwalts in ausgewählten Texten der U.S.-amerikanischen Literatur und Kultur.”
The talk will explore the cultural role played by lawyer characters in selected texts of canonical literature as well as popular culture. It is part of Dr. Kanzler’s Habilitationsverfahren and will be held in German.

Dr. Paula Lee, the second participant in the Frank Freidel Scholar in Residence Program, has arrived in Leipzig. She will stay in Leipzig for six weeks to work on her current project “Finding Animals: Toward a Comparative History and Theory of Animals.”
