Additional Funding for SHRIMP

American Studies Leipzig's digital reading platform SHRIMP will receive additional funding. After the project's initial stage at the University of Leipzig last year and its second stage at TU Dresden this summer, the extended funding will allow SHRIMP to be offered at both institutions simultaneously in the upcoming winter semester. The creators of SHRIMP will now evaluate the first two stages in order to optimize the project for its first parallel run.

SHRIMP - the Social Hypertext Reader and Interactive Mapping Platform - was created by members of the ASL community and receives funding as part of LaborUniversität's 5. Project Cohort. As of April 2016, the project is also funded through Lehrpraxis im Transfer, a joint initiative among all Saxon universities that aims at fostering innovative teaching approaches.
