Apply Now: Internship at Deutsch-Amerikanisches Institut Tübingen

Since the semester break is coming to an end, I hope you had a good time writing papers or on vacation! Coming back to Leipzig and in-person teaching, some of you might think about how to go on with your studies, what internships to do, which career patch to choose or which masters to apply for. Of course those are questions only you can answer for yourself. However, I have a great internship possibility for you today!

You might know DAIS the Deutsch-Amerikanisches-Institut Sachsen here in Leipzig, where you can apply for internships as well, but of course other cities have similar organization themselves, and today I want to present you d.a.i., the Deutsch-Amerikanische Institut Tübingen. Similar to our institute here in Leipzig, they are doing projects to strengthen the bilaterial connection between Germany and the US. Check out their website for more information!

Following you will find the internship offer from d.a.i., which I found on LinkedIn. This is also an additionally tip from me for you on how to find offers. “You are curious and reliabel, and like to work in a team? We are looking for American Studies, Cultural Studies, Political Studies, Teacher Training, and other students for an internship at Deutsch-Amerikanisches Institut Tübingen (d.a.i.).

As an important member of our team, you will get to know all fields of a binational cultural- and educational work space, and will work actively in our cultural program, public relations, language training, the library, intercultural project, US consultation, traveling and camps, as well as administration.

Right now we offer two internships:

Part-time Internship (50%, as an addition to your studies) during the Winter Term 2022-23: Monday, October 17, 2022 - Friday, February 10, 2023.

or

Full-time Internship during the semester break: Monday, February 13 - Friday, April 14, 2023.

If you are interested in one of the two offers and are flexible, ready for action, good in organizing, and have good English skills, apply until Sunday, 26 June, 2022 via e-mail (sekretariat@dai-tuebingen.de). Your application should include a cover letter, CV, and certfificates.

Please note that the internship is not paid. But we offer fun at work, a nice team, training on the job, and maybe even a job offer at the institute.
