Internship at Deutsch-Amerikanisches Zentrum Stuttgart Starting September 2019
The Deutsch-Amerikanisches Zentrum/ James-F.-Byrnes Institut e.V. is looking for American Studies students who would like to pursue an internship for at least 12 weeks (part time or full time) starting September 2019.
As a non-profit institution based in Stuttgart, the German-American Center informs about societal, cultural, political, and economic issues in both countries.
Interns should
-
Be interested in the U.S., cultural exchange, and political education
-
Have excellent English language skills
-
Have very good German communication skills (written and spoken)

Basic knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Photoshop

Be interested in Public Relations and Social Media

Have first experience in event management

Be able to work in teams
Interns will gain insight into
-
Programs of the institution (preparing exhibitions, presentations, readings, workshops, and roundtable discussions)

Organization of American Days (biggest German-American Cultural Festival in Germany)

Conceptual design and implementation of cultural and educational programs

Public Relations (drafting press releases, designing promotional materials, social media, drafting newsletters)
