Public Relations Internship, Survival International, Berlin

Survival International is a global NGO that supports tribal peoples around the world and helps them to defend their lives, protect their land, and determine their own future. Since their founding in 1969, Survival International has developed into a progressive global movement that makes public and battles the continuous injustices tribal people are experiencing worldwide. Survival’s Berlin office is currently looking for an intern in the field of press and public relations. The intern will gain insights into the workings of an international human rights organization and will be given the opportunity to actively help support the rights of indigenous peoples. The internship will begin in April 2017 and can be conducted part-time as well (2 or 4 days a week).


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Preliminary work on the website and social media outlets
  • Preparation of press reviews
  • Establish and maintain contact with news media representatives
  • Organize and conduct events to publicize the struggle of tribal people


  • Interest in indigenous peoples and passion for the aims of Survival International
  • Must be a German native peaker
  • Proficient knowledge of the English language
  • Willingness to work in a small team and to take on repetitive tasks
  • Experience in working with Adobe Photoshop
