ASL's Florian Bast Presents his Work at the Austrian Association for American Studies

ASL faculty member and doctoral student Florian Bast recently presented his work at the 40th International Conference of the Austrian Association for American Studies. The conference, which was held at Schloss Leopoldskron in Salzburg from 8 November to 10 November 2013, revolved around the topic “American Utopias.” As part of a panel on “African American Utopias: Women's Voices” Bast presented a paper connected to his PhD research, entitled “'Your Body Has Made a Different Choice’: Biologism as an Ideology in Octavia Butler's Dawn.”
