John Haskell, former Picador Guest Professor for Literature, will return to Leipzig for a reading on January 18, 7pm at the Deutsches Literaturinstitut Leipzig (DLL). American Studies Leipzig cordially invites you to join us for this occasion.

John Haskell is the author of I Am Not Jackson Pollock (2003), American Purgatorio (2005) and Out of My Skin (2009). He has worked as an actor and performance artist before becoming a novelist. John Haskell has studied playwriting at UCLA, and is a graduate of the MFA program in Creative Writing at Columbia University. He stayed in Leipzig in the Fall term of 2008, giving numerous readings in the area, two of them in Leipzig alone, and participating in roundtable discussions.
