Join the American Space Leipzig on Monday at 5pm for a public workshop on gender politics and the American workforce.
Women make up nearly half of the American workforce. They receive more degrees in higher education than men. Yet, women still earn considerably less than men. In 2015, female full-time workers made only 80 cents for every dollar earned by men, a gender wage gap of 20 percent.
Dr. Anja Eifert worked her last full day at the Institute for American Studies at Leipzig on Thursday, 9 February. Her replacement will be available as of 1 April. Her successor will take over as coordinator of international studies services at the institute, and will teach courses
in the SHP series of courses.
Dr. Eifert has been an outstanding contributor to the excellence of the institute. She will be very much missed. She is moving on to pursue other opportunities.
Join the American Space Leipzig for a public roundtable with Professor Crister S. Garrett as we discuss the unfolding politics of German-American relations during the Trump presidency, and the themes that will shape the debates and politics of the 2017 Munich Security Conference.
