Today's LC II seminar by Dr. S. Spieler shifted to July 10

Due to the unbearable heat, Dr. Sophie Spieler's LC II seminar will not take place today, June 26. It will be shifted to Wednesday, July 10 (1 - 3 pm).

aspeers 12 Launch Event

On June 28, 2019 at 6 pm, American Studies Leipzig will celebrate the release of the twelfth issue of aspeers: emerging voices in american studies, Europe’s first and currently only peer-reviewed graduate journal in American studies.

Over the course of the last semester, an editing team of seven MA students has worked to select contributions, revise them together with the authors, edit them, and make them ready for publication. The result is a book-size volume to be presented as part of the event.

ASL Hosted Interdisciplinary Conference on Reality in Serial Formats

Two weeks ago, on Friday, May 24 and Saturday, May 25, ASL had the pleasure to host the most recent conference held by Weiter sehen, which was established in Dresden and now found its way to Leipzig through Prof. Katja Kanzler, who is one of the researchers in the network. The conference was titled "Weiter sehen: Realität in Serie."
