Internship Workshop with Focus on Internships in the U.S.

The internship workshop is designed to help BA and MA students who are interested in completing an internship as part of their studies. In the workshop, students will get advice on how to find an internship and apply for it, how to apply for financial support, how to prepare for an internship, and how to get credits for it.

This term’s special guest will be Ms. Birgit Kämmer from the US Consulate in Leipzig. She will provide information on internship opportunities in the US, visa application, etc.

The internship will take place at the GWZ, room 2.516.

Hiermit wird bekannt gegeben, dass die Wiederholung der Prüfungsleistung für die Vorlesung des Moduls Society, History, Politics II (04-001-1006) am 28. März 2012 durchgeführt wird. Die Klausur findet von 13.15-14.45 Uhr in GWZ 2.516 statt.

Die Modulprüfung für das Modul "Literatur und Kultur der USA" (04-023-1401) findet zu gleicher Zeit und am gleichen Ort statt.

Call for Applications BA Plus Fellowship 2012/13

American Studies Leipzig is hereby calling for applications for the “BA American Studies with Transatlantic Capstone Program and Project Year” (BA Plus) sponsored by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF). The BA Plus program will provide up to five scholarships for BA students who are starting their 2nd year in the Fall term 2011/12 with the opportunity to spend their 5th and 6th terms at Ohio University and its Global Leadership Center.

Study Abroad & Internship Roundtable on January 11, 2012

The Study Abroad & Internship Roundtable gives interested students the chance to learn more about study abroad and internships as part of their degree program at ASL. Students, who have either studied at a foreign university or did an internship, will talk about their experiences and answer questions.
