Survival International is a global NGO that supports tribal peoples around the world and helps them to defend their lives, protect their land, and determine their own future. Since their founding in 1969, Survival International has developed into a progressive global movement that makes public and battles the continuous injustices tribal people are experiencing worldwide. Survival’s Berlin office is currently looking for an intern in the field of press and public relations. The intern will gain insights into the workings of an international human rights organization and will be given the opportunity to actively help support the rights of indigenous peoples. The internship will begin in April 2017 and can be conducted part-time as well (2 or 4 days a week).

New Modul "Sprachenlernen im Tandem" at Sprachenzentrum

In addition to SQM 32A and SQM 32B - "Internationale Erfahrung/Im Ausland erbrachte Studienleistungen" (10 LP) - which allows students to receive credit for study and internships abroad, the University of Leipzig's Sprachenzentrum will offer a 5 LP module "Sprachenlernen im Tandem" starting this winter term 2016/17. The module can be taken as part of the Wahlbereich.

New Anglistik Module "Internationale sprachliche Kommunikation"

Starting in the upcoming winter semester, the Institut für Anglistik (English department) will offer the new module "Internationale sprachliche Kommunikation - Herausforderungen für Politik und Gesellschaft" (04-ANG-1701). The module is open for the Wahlbereich, and interested ASL students are invited to sign up.

MA Town Hall Meeting
