Sons and Other Flammable Objects: Picador Reading with Porochista Khakpour
Picador reading with Porochista Khakpour at Skala/Schauspiel Leipzig, 8 pm.
Porochista Khakpour, award-winning author and current Picador guest professor at American Studies Leipzig, will read from her novel Sons and Other Flammable Objects as well as from her new unpublished work. The reading and the following talk will be presented by the TV-journalist Minou Amir-Seh.

LC-II Exam and Paper Consultation
Students who participated in the LC-II module can look at their lecture and research paper results and have their grade explained to them by the instructors of the module in GWZ, Room 3 5.15.
Students who wrote their paper in Dr. Dallmann's class can contact her via e-mail, as she will not be present at the meeting.
Students who wrote their paper in Alice Hofmann's class will be able to discuss their work with Sebastian Herrmann.

Next to the traditional Graduation Ceremony, the American Studies Alumni Association also organizes a Graduation Party for the first time this year. It will take place on July 30, 10 pm at the Leipzig club Telegraph (Dittrichring 18-20), and will be supported by Mr. Olsen (Polyesterclub) and Käpt’n Time Warp (Horns Erben) as DJs.
