Youth for Understanding is responsible for organizing and conducting international youth exchanges since 1957. Currently, Youth for Understanding is looking for 12 student assistants to hold either German language classes or intercultural training for a group of US exchange students. The courses will be held on weekdays from August 21 to September 8, 2017. The positions are paid.

The International SEPT Program offers a training course for export manager training. The training course begins on November 9, 2013, and lasts four months, including 120 class hours in the seminar room and approximately 100 hours of self-study. ASL has currently started a new internship cooperation with the Städtepartnerschaft Leipzig-Houston e.V., a non-profit association dedicated to strengthening the cultural exchange between citizens of Leipzig and Houston. The association is committed to youth exchange, including high school stays for Leipzig students, as well as exchange in the realms of sport, music, and culture. Städtepartnerschaft Leipzig-Houston e.V. is now offering a part time internship for ASL students. The intern will assist the media and communication coordinator.
