ASL Among the Top Three in CHE Ranking

ASL was ranked as one of Germany's top three American Studies programs in the recent CHE evaluation. The test score was achieved by high grades in such categories as average duration of study, international orientation, and overall study situation.

Who's In, Who's Out?

As the taz reports, approximately 60% of German university students come from what they call "Akademikerfamilien," i.e. families in which at least one parent has an academic degree. They compare that number to 2004's 57% and 1993's 49%.
