This conference aims to map the borderlands of narrativity. It asks how the narrative and the non-narrative—tied to symbolic forms such as database, play, spectacle, network, or the lyric—work together in instances of cultural expression.

Current Picador Professor Josh Weil was recently interviewed by the Leipziger Volkszeitung about his past few months in Germany. Among other topics, he talks about his impressions of living in Leipzig and Saxony, his literary interest in Russia, current politics, and his teaching experiences at ASL.
