Call for Proposals -- American Studies Leipzig Graduate Conference

We are proud to announce the Call for Proposals for next year's annual American Studies Leipzig graduate conference. 

Focusing on the work of graduate students, this conference provides a platform for emerging scholars of American studies and related fields to present their research, get inspiration, and build on their network. The submission deadline is January 21, 2018.

Please help us spread the word on our new Call for Proposals by sharing this with your friends and fellow BA, MA, and PhD students!

I'm currently on a one-person study tour through the US to research the ongoing presidential elections. I will post larger, in depth-pieces to American Studies Leipzig's election blog and will use my personal blog below to report on the everyday encounters. Picador Professor Daniel Pena Reads From His Work and Discusses Climate Change

On November 30, 2017, current Picador Professor at the Institute for American Studies at Leipzig University, Daniel Peña, read from his work and engaged in a discussion with Prof. Crister S. Garrett, and Dr. Jacob Schewe from the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research about the increasing impact and dangers of climate change.
