American Studies, Leipzig. 3 November 2006.

American Studies Leipzig in cooperation with the Consulate General of the United States in Leipzig will hold on Wednesday, November 8th, an evening podium discussion on "Congressional Elections 2006: Their Meaning for the United States, and for the International Community." On Tuesday, 7 November, Americans go to the polls to determine which political party will have a majority power in the U.S. Congress, and thereby play a key role in the future course of the country's politics, both at home and abroad. Please join us the day after the polling booths have closed in the United States to analyze and discuss what many experts are calling the most important Congressional election in over a decade.
