23nov-page-001-1Please join us for a panel discussion on the future of American and transatlantic politics after the election of Donald Trump as the new President of the United States with presidential politics experts Professor Paul S. Rundquist (Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg) and Professor Crister S. Garrett (Leipzig University).

Professor Paul S. Rundquist was a Senior Researcher at the Congressional Research Service for some thirty years. He is internationally recognized as an expert in the relations between Congress and the Executive Branch. He has advised parliaments around the world on legislative affairs. Professor Rundquist has been a Fulbright Senior Scholar in Poland and in Germany.

Professor Crister S. Garrett is Professor for American, Transatlantic, and International Studies and director of the Institute for American Studies at the Leipzig University. He earned his Phd at the University of California at Los Angeles in contemporary politics and history. Professor Garrett has published widely in German-American relations, including in such journals as Aus Politik und Zeitgeschichte and the Harvard International Review.
