Please join us for a workshop about American English and understanding the presidential election 2016.

30 June 2016
5-7 pm
GWZ 2516

American political jargon is confusing. When the grass roots are at war with astroturf or Yellow Dog Democrats become boll weevils and then Blue Dogs, the average talk radio listener or TV news viewer is likely to be perplexed.

In this workshop, Language & American Society Education Coordinator, Heather Pruessing, will investigate the linguistic richness of American politics with a focus on the 2016 Presidential elections.

The event is free and open to the public.
