Grace Elizabeth Hale (University of Virginia): "Child's Play: Making an Alternative Culture in Athens, GA, in the Reagan Era" (5-7 pm, HS 13).

Prof. Grace Elizabeth Hale is the Director of the American Studies Program at the University of Virginia and currently a Fulbright Fellow at the University of Erfurt. She is researching the alternative expressive culture in Athens, GA, in the late 1970s and 1980s.You can find an article by Prof. Hale on the band Oh-OK at southernspaces.org.
