Join the American Space Leipzig for their next event on Tuesday, February 7.

The Obama years have highlighted the complexity and, sometimes, fluidity of America’s racial makeup, history, allegiances, and grammar.

In this public roundtable, Prof. Rice will explore the ways in which Obama wields racial rhetoric as a political instrument to achieve particular aims and explores important racialized aspects of both his campaigns and administrations.

Professor Price is associate professor of Africana Studies and Political Science at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. Her research interests include black politics, public opinion, and social movements. She has done political commentary for The New York Times, Hartford Courant, NYC and CT Public Radio, and the Middletown Press.

The event is free and open to the public.
