As globalization has seemingly taken over all corners of every continent, the concept of mobility has become a major tool to help understand these complex processes. It has become a term that is too encompassing to fully understand all the notions it can deliver; especially for scholars in academics.

In order to be able to close in on the topic and fostering a deeper understanding, MOBILITY was chosen as the grand topic for this years’ research project amongst Bachelor students of American Studies Leipzig. Nine groups of students have forged their very own approaches toward creating an understanding of mobility for certain fields of our everyday lives. Ranging from Mobility and Border Fiction to Mobility and Populism, the topics are extremely interesting and provide lots of opportunity for BA students of all semesters to participate in active discussion and debate.

The faculty of American Studies Leipzig and the students presenting their work look forward to seeing you on the day of the presentations!

The event is free and open to the public.
