New Research Initiative: Selbst-Bewusste Erzählungen

American Studies Leipzig and the Chair of North American Literature at TU Dresden are proud to announce a new joint research initiative on "Selbst-Bewusste Erzählungen: Textlichkeit und gesellschaftliche Relevanz in US-amerikanischer Gegenwartskultur."


LC-I Starting Dates

All elements of the LC-I module (lecture, seminar, and tutorial) start in the week of October 15th.

Wahlbereich Amerikanistik. Module Enrollment Procedures

Dear Applicants to the American Studies Leipzig Wahlbereich,

please look at sb.uni-leipzig.de to find out if you have been granted a slot in one of our modules. If you have, you still need to personally confirm your slot with us Thursday or Friday. To do so, please come to the Institute's secretariat (GWZ 3 5.06) to present your prerequisites Thursday, March 29, from 1 pm to 3 pm or on Friday, March 30, from 1 pm to 3 pm.


Third LC-II Seminar Available

LC-I Repeat Schedule and Review Session

For participants of this winter semester's LC-I module, there will be a review session to look into the graded exams and the take home papers on April, 16th at 11am at GWZ 3 5.15.

Students who have failed the overall module will be able to redo those parts of the module exam that were graded 5.0 according to the following schedule.
