 What If Obama Loses?

The polls have been very clear over the last couple of months: An Obama victory on November 4th seems very likely according to the pollsters. Some commentators have even started talking about the possibility of a landslide. And they have good reason to speculate, states that haven't voted for a Democrat for President in decades are suddenly in play. Even Georgia is getting close.

But what if all the polls have been wrong? What if the Republicans find a way to turn this election around? What if the Bradley effect is real? What if we have a revival of Florida 2000 and Ohio 2004? Would the Democrats cede the election to the Republicans again in case it is as close and as shady as it was in 2000 for the sake of "democracy"?

How would all these energized young voters and the excited African-American voters react? I have a hard time imagining what would happen... But as election day is coming closer, I could not help myself but wonder.
