Graduate Student Conference 22-23 March 2010

Submitted by Franziska Wenk on Mon, 03/22/2010 - 09:45

ASL's first annual graduate student conference entitled "Between Global Village and Global Dump: Placing America in a Transnational World" will be held on 22-23 March 2010 at the Villa Tillmanns. The keynote speech, to which everybody is warmly invited, will be held by Sheila Lalwani, who is a recent graduate from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and is currently working as a Fulbright Fellow in Berlin. The conference itself, which is open to all MA-level graduate students, consists of six sessions in which graduate students from all over Europe will be presenting their academic work on diverse aspects of a transnational America.

Please note that all graduate students are invited to attend. However, as there are only a limited number of slots, we would kindly ask students to RSVP at asl-gradconference@uni-leipzig.de until 20 March 2010.

Further information on the conference can be found here.
