 Summer 2009 Picador Courses

Submitted by Dr. Sebastian M. Herrmann on Mon, 04/06/2009 - 07:00

In the summer of 2009, Picador Professor Catherine Chung will offer two courses as part of Leipzig's American Studies programs, a literary studies course on "Minor Literature" and a Creative Non-Fiction Class.

As usual, enrollment to these classes will be limited. Please register via lehrbox (links above). Both courses are open to Magister students in their Hauptstudium, MA students, and BA students who qualify for the module Literature and Culture II. Students from other programs are welcome to inquire about enrollment with Picador Coordinator Sebastian M. Herrmann at smherrmann@uni-leipzig.de.

In the BA/MA system, the courses are offered as an additional opportunity for students who are looking for ways to sharpen their literary studies profile and to explore new perspectives and formats. While the institute will thus not offer formal (Bologna) credits for these courses, successfull participants will receive a certificate confirming this extra-curricular course. Magister students will receive regular Scheins, as well as the certificate (upon request).
