You may attend Literature and Culture II and/or The Anglo-American World in a Global Context. Please keep in mind that the Prüfungsordnung asks you to attend three out of the four core elective modules (Wahlpflichtmodule) offered during the program's second year. However, you are free to attend all four core electives and use the extra module to replace one Wahlbereichmodul.
For enrollment in the modules, you are asked to write an email to asl-enrolment@uni-leipzig.de between March 17 and 22. As subject-header, please use "2nd year BA"; in the body of your mail, please give

In case you want to have one of these modules count toward your Wahlbereich, you have to designate this module in your email by putting “WB:” in front of the module line. You will then still have to use the TOOL to apply for them!

Third-year BA students (class of 2007):

You must attend one (but may attend more than one) of the following modules: Society, History, and Politics III, Literature & Culture III, and Language and Society - Language in Transition.

Enrolling for your minors (Wahlbereichsmodule)/ SQM

All BA American Studies Majors:

Students may apply for modules for their Wahlbereich and for the Professional Skills Module (SQM) out of the university's course offerings. As in previous semesters, you are asked to browse the university's course listings and select four modules for the Wahlbereich and three for the SQM for which you want to apply. The order of your list automatically serves as your priority list.
Please submit your application for the WB and the SQM online via TOOL between March 24, 9 am and March 31, 5 pm. To enter the enrollment platform, you may use the login data you have received together with your university card/ Student ID.
American Studies BAs who did not get admitted to any Wahlbereich or SQM should browse the Restplatzbörse starting on April 8 and try to secure module spots there. Students who do not succeed are encouraged to attend the Härtefallsprechstunde on April 7, from 2 to 4 pm, rooms 3 501, 3 502 and 3 503 (GWZ).
